Internship brings good fortune to MITHM student

JCU Brisbane MITHM student Shunanthinie Muthusamy, fondly known as Nan, has recently commenced a Human Resources Professional Internship with Honeywell Limited.

Honeywell is a Fortune 100 company* that invents and manufactures technologies to address tough challenges linked to global macrotrends such as safety, security and energy. Honeywell has approximately 122,000 employees worldwide, and the organisation has an unrelenting focus on quality, delivery, value and technology in everything that they produce.

During her Internship, Nan, originally from Malaysia, will be supervised by Rebecca Jurgens, the HR Manager in Brisbane for Honeywell. Rebecca will be allocating tasks to Nan that will provide exposure to various HR functions including Recruitment, On-boarding, Employee Mobility, Compensation and Benefits and day to day HR Operations.

Throughout Nan's placement at Honeywell, she will be supported by JCU Brisbane Senior Lecturer Elizabeth O'Brien. Elizabeth is a Certified Professional of the Australian Human Resources Institute.
